Bitstamp Awarded Bitlicence from NYDFS

Earlier this week Bitstamp, a crypto currency exchange based in Luxembourg, has been awarded a Bitlicence from the New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). This will allow Bitstamp to trade, Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Ripple (XRP) and other digital assets within the New York state. Nejc Kodrič the CEO of Bitstamp said in a statement after the announcement:

“We appreciate New York’s solid regulatory framework – the nation’s first – to protect consumers using cryptocurrencies and look forward to expanding our growing business in the state,”

Earlier this month Tagomi was also awarded the Bitlicence from the NYDFS. More and more adoption coming!
