Red Bull announces FuturoCoin as Sponsor of 2019 F1 Season

Cryptocurrency FuturoCoin (FTO) has been added to Red Bull’s list of sponsors for the 2019 F1 racing season (source). In a move following other major events like UFC, Red Bull’s racing team have decided to take on a cryptocurrency partner.

FuturoCoin boasts speedy transactions, no possibility to double spend and fixed transaction fees with no confirmations required.

The rise of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies has been truly remarkable, and we’re delighted to be the first Formula 1 team to embrace this through our partnership with FuturoCoin.

Whether the sponsorship is simply a marketing gimmick to publicise FuturoCoin, or whether legitimate blockchain use cases will emerge from the partnership remains to be seen.

Racing and blockchain fans will be waiting at the finish line to see whether the FuturoCoin sponsorship holds substance or is left by the wayside amongst the plethora of other crypto-publicity-stunts.

Exciting possibilities, or yet another publicity stunt? Let us know what you think in the comments section.
