Bakkt Raises $182.5 Million in First Round

In the first round of funding, Bakkt, has announced that they have raised $182.5 million from twelve investors. The investors include the following:

  • Boston Consulting Group
  • CMT Digital
  • Eagle Seven
  • Galaxy Digital
  • Goldfinch Partners
  • Alan Howard
  • Horizons Ventures
  • Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)
  • Microsoft’s venture capital arm M12
  • Pantera Capital
  • PayU
  • Protocol Ventures

For 2019 Bakkt are focused providing new infrastructure, the first institutional grade regulated exchange, clearing and warehousing services for delivery and storage. The Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) had also announced last year that the launch of Bakkt’s Bitcoin futures platform would be delayed until 24th January 2019. Lets hope that there are no more delays and that progression continues smoothly in 2019.
