CME Bitcoin Futures Expired @ $3708.56 Lowest Price Since Launch.

On December 28th 2018, trading under ticker BTCZ18, Bitcoin (BTC) futures expired at its lowest delivery price to date at $3708.56 on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). We hate to say it, but, the trend is definitely not a friend for crypto investors, followers or enthusiasts. Here is the official BTCZ18 settlement price detailed on the CME website:

Unless, you have been short Bitcoin (BTC), it has been a painful year, especially since futures have been launched. Bitcoin (BTC) futures had been launched on the CME and the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in December 2017. Futures, should, in any market encourage price discovery, increase market credibility and aid the facilitation of managing risk exposure. Since launch, well, just look at what has happened:

As the demand for the crypto asset Bitcoin (BTC) decreases, it must be noted that the market is still young. Until larger institutions enter the crypto space and until it wins back the retail investors, we think that the decentralised asset has been oversold according to the Relative Strength Index (RSI);
