In a Twitter poll by the Bank of England, respondents overwhelmingly prefer digital assets to cash as gifts. 75% of respondents preferred digital currency, whilst only 18% would like to receive cash. Perhaps a sign of growing adoption, over four times as many people preferred cryptos to cold, hard fiat.
Gone are the days of physical gifts, it seems. With a meagre 5% preferring bank transfers and only 2% preferring gift vouchers, it seems that those polled vastly prefer gifts by way of digital assets.
Depending on who you are, gift-giving has just become a whole lot easier, or harder.
